From December 3 to 24 I visited the United States. I was in 8 states in that grand country. The primary objective of my trip was to present the Baptist Seminary of Peru to Christian brothers and churches with the goal of obtaining their prayers and offerings on behalf of the Seminary.
The Baptist Seminary of Peru is a ministry of Independent Baptist Churches. We have existed for 44 years. In that time we have prepared more than 800 laborers for God’s work. (Photo: In Miami, next to Pastor Mario Rodríguez and his wife. Thank you for your hospitality, my brothers!)
Of all of the laborers that we have prepared, there are many today who are serving as pastors and missionaries in the churches of Peru and in other countries. God has been good to us and has used us greatly in the preparation of the pastors and missionaries that our churches and our world need.
Our students live and study on the Seminary campus. Our ministry is a ministry of faith. Like every biblical and spiritual ministry, we depend on God for our sustenance.
We are very thankful to God because He always has sustained us. He has used His churches and many believers that appreciate and place value on the preparation of laborers in His fields. In the Seminary I have two responsibilities: I am a Bible professor and the Director of Public Relations. As the Director of Public Relations I am in charge of helping believers know the ministry of our Seminary and looking for more spiritual and material cooperation. I do this work wherever I travel. The Seminary demands much cooperation. I need you to help me by your prayers because the challenge we have in front of us is greater than our wisdom and abilities.
As those that labor in this school we know that only God can sustain our ministry. He has used the Seminary for 44 years and we are sure that He will continue to use it to prepare laborers for many more years.
As well, in my trip to the US I was able to speak with some believers from the ministry Alas del Rey (Wings of the King). They are those who help support the work that I do in Iquitos and Requena. I had a wonderful time with these brothers. There heart for God’s work in Peru and other parts of the world gave me much passion in my work for God. To end this note, I want to thank all those believers who have helped me in my trip to the US. I thank those that gave money for my tickets, those that gave my lodging and food during my trip, those that provided transportation, and those that gave me the opportunity to present the ministry of the Baptist Seminary of Peru. I ask that you will pray for the work I did in Sullana. To welcome in the New Year I preached the gospel in that city. There were 3 people who made professions of faith. There were also several believers who dedicated their lives to God.
This week I am going to Colombia to preach at a youth camp. Thank you for your prayers. May God give you a wonderful 2016.
